Senior Musical Instrument Retail Sales Associate

Music & Arts seeks a part-time Senior Sales Associate to support our mission-driven retail environment. In this role, you’ll help students, parents, and educators find the right band and orchestra instruments, accessories, and lessons. Responsibilities include driving retail and lesson sales, processing rentals, operating POS systems, maintaining merchandising standards, and supporting inventory tasks. You’ll collaborate with a friendly, student-focused team, promote music education in the community, and provide outstanding service in a performance-oriented workplace. Musical background and prior retail experience preferred. Engage customers to understand musical goals and recommend appropriate instruments, accessories, and lessons. Process sales, rentals, returns, and exchanges accurately using POS systems. Enroll students in private lessons and promote educational programs and events. Maintain merchandise displays, signage, and store cleanliness to brand standards. Support inventory receiving, stocking, and cycle counts to ensure product availability. Collaborate with store and lesson staff to achieve sales and performance targets. Educate customers on instrument care, repair options, and rental terms. Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation. Support school service and community outreach initiatives as needed. Provide a friendly, inclusive, and student-focused experience for all customers.
