Job Opportunity The Autism Center of Excellence is seeking a licensed psychologist to conduct autism spectrum disorder (ASD) evaluations for pediatric clients in our Richmond, VA clinic. This is a full-time, salaried position offering a competitive base salary and the opportunity to focus on high-quality diagnostic work within a structured, supportive clinical environment. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in pediatric populations, completing clinical interviews with parents/caregivers and gathering developmental history, administering and scoring standardized assessment tools, observing and assessing social communication, behavior, and developmental functioning, integrating clinical findings and determining diagnoses based on DSM-5 criteria, preparing clear, thorough, and timely written evaluation reports, providing feedback sessions to families, collaborating with clinical and interdisciplinary team members, and maintaining compliance with ethical, legal, and HIPAA standards. Requirements include an active licensed psychologist (PhD or PsyD) in the state of Virginia, experience conducting diagnostic evaluations for autism spectrum disorder in children, experience with ADOS-2 or similar standardized diagnostic tools, strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills, ability to communicate findings clearly and compassionately to families, strong documentation and report writing skills, and a doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical psychology or a related field.
