Assembly Technician

Location: Skaneateles, NY 13153

Pay: $23/hr w 2

Job Type: Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Hours: 40 hrs/week

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Summary: Seeking a hands-on Production Operator II to assemble and test electro-mechanical components and subassemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, precision assembly skills, and hands-on soldering experience.

Key Responsibilities: Assemble electro-mechanical components and subassemblies using BOMs and documented procedures. Perform functional testing according to customer and engineering specifications. Use hand tools, torque drivers, and precision assembly equipment. Perform soldering for component and wiring assembly. Inspect parts and assemblies for quality and performance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment. Follow established procedures and support continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills: Hands-on experience with small-parts assembly and soldering. Strong mechanical aptitude. Experience using hand tools, torque drivers, and precision equipment. Good manual dexterity and fine motor control. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to sit/stand for extended periods. Basic math, reading, and writing skills. Ability to follow strict instructions and work with basic chemicals.
