Senior Staff Product Designer - Customer Experience

Job Overview: Your mandate is the end-to-end customer journey for autonomous freight, designing tools for trucking and logistics companies to activate and manage daily operations for a fleet of self-driving trucks. The tools must be familiar, intuitive, and integrated into existing ecosystems, operating as high‐stakes operational tools needed by vehicle operators and load planners.

In this role, you will: Own the customer experience blueprint, defining how interactions with the Aurora Driver are consistent, simple, and unified within the broader operational ecosystem. Design customer‐facing digital tools across web, mobile, and partner integrations. Conduct focused research to generate actionable insight and drive product decisions. Tie work directly to outcomes—for example, ensuring support feels natural by designing self‐serve recovery paths that allow users to resolve issues in under five minutes. Manage and develop one Product Designer and contribute to raising the bar for the broader design practice.

Required Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in product design, with a track record of leading complex, multi‐workstream projects. Experience formally managing other designers. A portfolio showing end‐to‐end work across research and design for complex enterprise, operational, or mission‐critical systems, with clear evidence of business impact. Expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and UX research with a high bar for visual design quality. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate research insights and design rationale into clear, compelling narratives for executive, cross‐functional, and technical audiences.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience with autonomous technology, hardware‐software integrated products, or physical supply chain logistics. Demonstrated ability to use AI across the design lifecycle without losing judgment.

Salary and Benefits: The base salary range for this position is $189K-$274K per year. The starting base pay will be determined based on job‐related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions.
