VP, Legal/Philadelphia Western SuburbsLeading professional services firm seeks a lawyer with 12+ years to lead the legal function. This candidate must have complex commercial contracting, have been in- house, ideally from a large engineering, architectural, or professional services business, and managed lawyers. A working knowledge of professional liability, design and construction contracting, claims- made insurance, indemnification, duty-to-defend issues, and project risk allocation is strongly preferred. This person will lead the contracting process, develop a compliance program, work with the company’s acquisition team and HR, and direct and manage outside counsel. This lawyer will be part of senior management, and report and be the primary legal advisor to the CEO. No relocation assistance is available for this position.
