Aerospace Welder

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Welder (AWS D17.1 Class A) to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality welding operations on aerospace components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and aerospace quality standards. This position involves precision TIG welding of thin-wall aluminum aerospace components. We are seeking welders with experience producing small, close-tolerance parts where quality, consistency, and attention to detail are essential. Experience limited to structural or heavy fabrication is not the best fit for this role. Key Responsibilities1. Welding Operations Perform welding on aerospace components in accordance with approved procedures Work with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, titanium, and other aerospace alloys Execute welding processes including TIG (GTAW) and other required methods Ensure welds meet dimensional, strength, and visual quality requirements2. Drawing & Specification Compliance Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and specifications Follow qualified Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) Ensure work meets aerospace standards and customer requirements3. Quality & Inspection Support Perform self-inspection of welds Address rework or corrections promptly when identified4. Production Execution & Priority Support Support production priorities including: Customer-critical components High-value aerospace parts Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet delivery schedules
