Responsibilities:
Work alongside adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities at their place of employment in the community, assisting them to be successful at work.
Assist individuals with problem solving, decision making on the job, safety and meeting their job expectations.
Enjoy learning the ins and outs of different industries.
Individuals supported work in settings ranging from retail to food service and beyond.
Manage a caseload of clients, maintaining communication with care team members, completing log and data notes, and participating in care team meetings.
Support individuals using person centred strategies in order to help people achieve goals and self advocate.
Schedule Pay 1750 - 1850 per hour depending on experience. Schedule Monday Friday daytime hours approximately 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, full time 40 hours per week, no nights no weekends.

Requirements:
Prior DSP experience is a plus but not required.
We are happy to provide all training needed to be successful.
Comfortable working independently at community businesses most of the time.
Use of a personal vehicle is required for daily travel between work sites.
Mileage reimbursement is provided.
Must be comfortable working at different locations and environments throughout the week (office setting, commercial kitchen, hospital).
Working location environment is determined by where clients are employed; all locations are within the Twin Cities West Metro area.
Multilingual candidates who speak Spanish, Hmong, Somali, Oromo or American Sign Language are encouraged to apply.
Language skills help us to coordinate services and support participation for individuals served.
Must be able to pass a background study with the MN Department of Human Services.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa.
Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
Must be able to regularly push/pull/lift 25-50 pounds.
Ability to withstand 6 or more hours of standing or walking in an 8 hour workday.
Ability and willingness to assist individuals with activities of daily living.
Basic computer and technology skills.
This position utilizes the computer daily (e.g. for report writing and documentation of goals & outcomes).
