Raytheon’s Software Product Assurance team is hiring a Senior Software Security Engineer in El Segundo, CA. The role focuses on applying software security principles to embedded real-time sensor software while supporting SW Product Assurance process adherence and verification activities tied to system maturity, with a DoD Secret clearance requirement. Compensation
Salary Range: USD 95,500 - 181,700 per year

Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant software experience
Education: Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Security Clearance:
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
Eligibility:
- U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Clearance Status:
- Active and existing security clearance required on day 1Responsibilities
- Implement software security principles across embedded software design, development, integration, and testing for real-time sensor software
- Develop software applications using
- CandC++on a range of computing platforms
- Ensure SW Product Assurance processes are followed across assigned programs
- Apply understanding of real-time software design and performance implications related to specific System Security implementations
- Collaborate with cross-functional Engineering teams to define and implement Test Driven Multidisciplinary Capability (TDMC) based execution development and deployment requirements
- Work within a common development environment to enable program teams to leverage specific capabilities
- Interface with the customer community to review technical design and support verification of system maturity
- Technical Requirements
- Experience withC / C++Experience with
- Embedded Processors
- Experience with embedded OS such asVxWorks , Embedded Linux, or similar
- Embedded Software Security experience
- Technologies and ToolsC, C++VxWorks, Embedded LinuxTDMC (Test Driven Multidisciplinary Capability)
- Agile/Scrum/Kanban, DevSecOpsARM ArchitecturePCIe, GPIO, I2C, SATAFPGAs, ASICsPetalinux/YoctoKernel or Device Driver development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Designing, implementing, testing, or fielding real-time security-oriented solutions on Department of War (DoW) programs, with embedded experience highly preferred
- Kernel or Device Driver development
- Petalinux/Yocto operating systems
- Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks and DevSecOps environments
- Knowledge of modern computer architecture and hardware technologies including ARM architecture; interface protocols (PCIe, GPIO, I2C, SATA); FPGAs; ASICsUsing software configuration management and bug tracking tools
- Experience with validation and verification of software applications
