Role Description:
The Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL, responsible for supporting overall daily operations and ensuring smooth functioning of the facility. This role assists the General Manager in managing staff schedules, overseeing service standards, monitoring compliance with policies and procedures, and handling escalated guest or client concerns. The Assistant General Manager collaborates with department leads to track performance metrics, optimize workflows, and support training and coaching of team members. The role includes participation in budgeting and cost control efforts, reviewing reports, and helping implement operational initiatives. The Assistant General Manager also coordinates with vendors and external partners, supports safety and quality standards, and contributes to strategic planning and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in operations or facility management, preferably in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity. Strong leadership abilities, including team coordination, performance feedback, and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency in organizing schedules, managing multiple priorities, and maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Solid communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, clients, and external partners. Comfort with basic business tools, such as office productivity software and systems used for reporting, scheduling, and tracking performance. Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and basic financial reporting is beneficial. Understanding of safety, compliance, and quality standards relevant to on-site operations. Ability to work on-site in Miami, FL, including flexible hours as operational needs require. High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, management, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in hospitality, membership organizations, or service-focused environments is a plus.
