Hospice Executive Director
Location: Chicopee, MA
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits Package We are seeking an experienced Hospice Executive Directorto lead the overall operations of a growing hospice organization inChicopee, Massachusetts .The Executive Director will oversee clinical and administrative operations, regulatory compliance, staffing, financial performance, quality initiatives, and business development. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for an experienced hospice professional who understands both the clinical mission of hospice and the operational requirements of running a successful agency.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for hospice operations
  • Oversee clinical, administrative, operational, and financial performance
  • Ensure compliance withCMS, Medicare, state, federal, and accreditation requirements
  • Lead and support clinical and administrative department leaders
  • Monitor census, admissions, staffing, productivity, expenses, and other key performance indicators
  • Develop and execute strategies to support census growth and referral development
  • Maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, referral partners, and other healthcare organizations
  • Oversee quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and promote employee retention and development
  • Partner with clinical leadership to maintain high standards of patient care
  • Manage budgets and support the organization's financial and operational goals
  • Establish a positive, accountable, and patient-focused culture
Qualifications:
  • Prior hospice leadership experience required
  • Previous experience as an Executive Director, Administrator, Branch Director, Director of Operations, or similar hospice leadership role strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare requirements, compliance, and quality standards
  • Demonstrated experience managing hospice operations and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of census development, referrals, staffing, budgeting, and financial performance
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferredRN license is a plus but not required depending on experience
