About the role

Position Summary: Seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to support mission-critical secure messaging and enterprise infrastructure environments. The role combines secure messaging gateway administration, Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, monitoring, incident management, and ITSM support.
Key Responsibilities: Administer and troubleshoot enterprise messaging gateways, AMHS, ECGS, ITS, CDS, and message conversion systems. Monitor message queues, routing, delivery, and system performance across classified and unclassified networks. Administer Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, and server infrastructure. Monitor systems using SCOM and resolve Tier II/III infrastructure and messaging incidents. Manage incidents, changes, and service requests through ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms. Support failover, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational continuity activities. Develop SOPs, technical documentation, knowledge articles, and RCA reports.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.5+ years of systems administration experience, including 3+ years in secure messaging, defense communications, or mission-critical operations. Active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance. DoD 8570/8140-compliantIAT Level II certificationrequired, such as Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, GICSP, or SSCP.
Preferred Qualifications: IAT Level III certification such as CISSP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, or GCIH.Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, SCOM, ServiceNow, virtualization, secure messaging gateways, and classified environments.
