Class A CDL Transfer DriverOur client, a well-established, family-owned food manufacturer, is seeking a Class A CDL Transfer Driver to shuttle refrigerated trailers between their local facilities. This is a straightforward, local transfer position—no long-haul routes or customer deliveries. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CDL driver looking for steady hours, consistent routes, and long-term stability with a respected company. Schedule Monday – Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM Approximately 30% Saturday work
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer with refrigerated (reefer) trailer
- Shuttle finished food products between the company's Hamburg and Leesport facilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Complete required DOT logs and transportation paperwork
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
- Assist with moving product in refrigerated storage areas when needed
- Load and unload product as required
- Lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Report maintenance or equipment issues promptly
- Maintain a professional, safety-first attitude
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Previous reefer trailer experience required
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work in freezer and refrigerated environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong commitment to safety and DOT compliance
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Must pass a DOT physical and drug screening
