Salary: $121,500 - $248,500
Description: The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Johns Hopkins University seeks to appoint a tenured faculty member in Italian Studies at the rank of Associate Professor, with a specializationin nineteenth, twentieth, and/or contemporary Italian literature. We welcome applications from scholars whose work engages any areaof modern literary studies. The Department is committed to conducting a globally broad andinclusive search for candidates who, through their research, teaching, and service, will contribute to the excellence of ouracademic community. The successful candidate will supervisedoctoral research, offer courses in Italian and in English at theundergraduate and graduate levels, and serve on the editorial boardof MLN (Modern Language Notes). Salary Range The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximumsalaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not allcandidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may varyand will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may includethe successful candidate's geographic location, skills, workexperience, internal equity, market conditions, education/trainingand other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
