As the wine industry continues to evolve in the U.S., MMD USA intends to remain an outstanding and distinctive ambassador of the wineries it represents.Maison Marques & Domaines, Inc. is seeking a motivated Junior Sales Operations Analyst to join our Sales and Business Intelligence Team.In this role you will be a key contributor to the developing WineBook business opportunities, creating MMD sales analyses, and providing insights to management and the sales force to influence sales strategy.This is a full-time, non-exempt salaried position with benefits located in our New York office.Job duties:WineBook Sales Operations & Analytics: (60%)ALL Become expert user with VIP IDIG and KARMA as it relates to WineBookWork with WineBook managers to create regular offers in the form of sell sheets and e-mails for both direct customers and distributorsKeep a pulse on new and trendy accounts to build target lists for new businessWork with Marketing on developing WineBook social mediaCreate bi-weekly recap of sales and inventoryOversee monthly catalog creation for Bordeaux & WineBook CACommunicate with sales managers on product availabilityAssist with WineBook POs as neededUpdate monthly orderbooksDevelop analyses and insights particularly for Merry EdwardsAssist with price postingsEnsure data flow in VIP is correct for WineBook data, make corrections as necessaryCreate trackers for monthly goals and salesHelp WB CA team manage their custom lists through KARMACommunicate with MMD sales managers and distributors to obtain correct purchase ordersWork on quarterly distributor catalogs and tailored offers for distributor eventsMMD Sales Team Support: (20%)Collect, analyze, and report sales data through VIP to understand the state of the business for both MMD & WineBook, increase sales productivity, and gauge ROI on marketing activitiesAssist with monitoring and auditing data outputs to ensure clean and accurate dataPartner with Analyst to stay current with newest VIP tools and troubleshoot systems issuesWork with Analyst and Director of Sales in preparing review meetings with distributors and suppliersWork with BI Team on executive presentationsAssist Sales team in establishing target lists and measuring actual sales performance against pre-set targetsCreate ad-hoc reporting for the Sales TeamWork with MMD & WineBook sales teams to maintain working target lists in KARMACreate monthly NY catalogMonitor competitive wholesale pricing on a monthly basisWork with Director of BI on goal creation and trackingWork with Director of Sales on special projects, ie Dominus LettersNational Program Support: (10%)Assist Director of Sales with presenting and monitoring national programming for accounts such as Total Wine & More, Kroger, Wegmans, etcAssist with program turn insDevelop tools to facilitate new item turn ins and presentationsCreate reporting and communicate to sales leadership to ensure strong inventory position in all marketsTrade & Marketing Support: (10%)Liaise with public relations and marketing operations team on sampling, event preparation and organizationAssist in setting up tastings, training sessions for distributors or key account sales force, and in the reception of suppliers to the NY officeParticipate in trade shows and industry marketing eventsCollaborate with Marketing team on e-commerce updates, Proof & wine.comWhat you bring:Requires a minimum of 1 year of work or internship experienceEducation: Business, science or engineering B.A. / B.S. degreeHighly organized and reliable, with meticulous attention to detailDemonstrated analytical and quantitative skillsAbility to problem solveClear communication skillsSelf-starter, curious and motivatedExcellent proficiency with Excel and PowerPointMeticulous attention to detailInterest in the wine industryShould be able to lift up to 30lbsThe position is based in New York and reports to the office Monday-FridayOur BenefitsCompetitive compensation and bonus package commensurate with experienceFull Healthcare Package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, long-term disability insurance, life, and AD&D insurancePaid time offPaid holidays401k & Company MatchFlexible spending accountJob category: Sales and Marketing
