Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in K-5Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and special education staff to create a supportive learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and district policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or equivalent teaching credential
- Valid North Carolina state teaching certification in Special Education (K-12) or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a special education teacher in a school setting, with proficiency in K-5 classroom management and IEPsStrong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Background check clearance
- Physical stamina for daily classroom activities
