Location: East Bay, California Compensation: $28$34/hour + Benefits Employment Type: Full-Time | MondayFriday | Day Shift Build Complex Machinery That Powers Manufacturing Worldwide An established and growing industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to help build highly customized automation and production equipment used by leading manufacturers across multiple industries. This is not a repetitive assembly-line role. You'll work on sophisticated mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, collaborating closely with engineering and production teams to bring custom-designed equipment from concept to reality. What You'll Do:

Assemble complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Build custom industrial equipment from engineering drawings and specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly documentation
Perform quality inspections and functional testing throughout the assembly process
Troubleshoot assembly issues and identify practical solutions
Document assembly procedures, calibration activities, and production records
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes and product quality
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment

Requirements:

What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment
Experience assembling mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience assembling custom machinery, automation equipment, or industrial systems
Familiarity with PLC systems and control wiring
Experience with SolidWorks and eDrawingsProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointBackground in heat staking, heat sealing, or related manufacturing equipment
