About the role

Position Summary: The Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all maintenance, facilities, equipment, and material handling activities within the HVAC manufacturing facility. This position ensures that production equipment, building systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure are properly maintained and operating safely and efficiently. The supervisor will lead preventive maintenance (PM) programs, coordinate repairs, manage maintenance personnel and contractors, and support manufacturing operations to minimize equipment downtime and maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities: To supervise and coordinate all daily maintenance and facilities activities within the manufacturing facility. To develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for production equipment, machinery, HVAC systems, and facility systems. To troubleshoot equipment and facility issues, coordinate repairs, and minimize production downtime. To supervise maintenance personnel and assign daily work activities to ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely and on schedule. To maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, repairs, work orders, equipment history, and facility inspections. To manage maintenance spare parts, tools, supplies, and materials and coordinate purchasing when required. To oversee material handling activities, including the safe operation, inspection, and maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment. To coordinate with contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers for installation, servicing, repairs, and technical support. To support continuous improvement projects and ensure the facility, equipment, and maintenance activities comply with company safety requirements.
Required Qualifications: At least 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a manufacturing environment. Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Must be forklift certified and knowledgeable in the safe operation of material handling equipment. Strong hands-on knowledge of preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and repair procedures. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems. Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation. Knowledge of OSHA requirements, workplace safety practices, and safe maintenance procedures. Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with production, warehouse, engineering, purchasing, and management teams. PC literate and familiar with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to maintain maintenance records and schedules.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate Degree or Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Facilities Management, or a related technical field preferred. Technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent relevant maintenance experience may be considered. Valid forklift certification is required. HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance certification is preferred. OSHA, workplace safety, or preventive maintenance training is preferred.
