About the role

We areseeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for a locums opportunity within a high-performing Orthopedic Trauma Program ata busy LevelII Trauma Center in San Jose, California. The program manages approximately 600orthopedic trauma cases annually, providing an opportunity tocare for a diverse and high-acuity trauma population. Compensation : $4500 Per Shift
Position Highlights: Trauma Level: II Approximately 600 orthopedic trauma cases annually Inpatient surgical care and outpatient orthopedic trauma follow-up High-acuity, multidisciplinary practice environment
Responsibilities:
  • Provide surgical care for orthopedic trauma patients
  • Perform orthopedic trauma consultations and surgical interventions
  • Participate in inpatient rounding and postoperative care
  • Provide outpatient orthopedic trauma follow-up
  • Collaborate with trauma, emergency medicine, and other surgical teams
  • Participate in quality improvement and program development
Requirements:
  • MD or DO
  • Completion of an Orthopedic Surgery Residency
  • Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Active California medical license or eligibility for licensure
