About the role

Position Overview: The Sales Support Specialist optimizes commercial execution, promotional management, and retail portal administration across major omnichannel retail partners. Serving as the operational backbone for key commercial accounts—including Target, Best Buy, Department Stores, and independent retail channels—this role drives cross-functional alignment between sales, supply chain, and finance. The Specialist establishes consistent reporting frameworks, maintains product lifecycle integrity across retail portals, and streamlines order execution to ensure operational scalability and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities: Channel Analytics & Commercial Intelligence Sell-Through & POS Reporting: Design, aggregate, and deliver structured POS and purchase order planning reports to track channel performance and inventory health. Consolidated Reporting: Oversee weekly retail POS extraction and dataset formatting, delivering brand-specific performance intelligence to partner teams and enterprise-level reporting to senior leadership. Ad-Hoc Operational Insights: Synthesize complex retail sales data into actionable performance reports for cross-functional brand and account leads. Promotional Optimization & Governance Promotional Planning Frameworks: Maintain and standardize promotional tracking grids across tier-one accounts, including Target and Best Buy. Post-Event Performance Recaps: Conduct post-promotional ROI analyses using post-event retail POS datasets to evaluate trade spend efficiency and promotional effectiveness. Contract & Portal Governance: Lead end-to-end promotional contract submissions, approval tracking, and compliance within retailer vendor portals. Retail Portal Administration & Catalog Governance Item Lifecycle Management: Manage end-to-end item setup, Product Detail Page (PDP) maintenance, and e-commerce content synchronization across retail partner platforms. Deduction & Compliance Audits: Conduct post-audit research and discrepancy reviews to resolve operational compliance issues and reduce financial chargebacks. Price Governance & MAP Compliance: Execute price monitoring workflows and enforce Minimum Advertised Price (MAP/UMAP) compliance across partner channels before, during, and after promotional cycles. Sales Enablement & Account Operations Workload & Resource Optimization: Provide operational and administrative enablement across brand portfolios to optimize team bandwidth and streamline workflow execution. Order Execution & Business Continuity: Oversee sample order creation and serve as the primary operational backup for order processing (PE entry) during business travel, guaranteeing zero interruption to order flow. Ad-hoc sales support responsibilities as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 2–4 years in Sales Operations, Sales Support, or Commercial Analytics within CPG, Consumer Electronics, or Retail. Portal Expertise: Direct experience managing tier-one retailer portals preferred (experience with Target Partners Online / POL and Best Buy portals is strongly preferred).
Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets Process Orientation: Exceptional organizational, and auditing capabilities with high attention to data integrity and process efficiency. Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate across sales, supply chain, and finance teams.
