System Administrator Level 3 (MSP)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Salary: $95,000 to $105,000MSP Experience: Required Tier 3 MSP Escalations We are an established DC Metro Managed Services Provider hiring a System Administrator Level 3 to join a four person Escalations team. This is a senior technical role for an experienced MSP engineer who enjoys solving the issues other technicians cannot. You will take ownership of complex escalations across systems, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, backups, and client infrastructure while also contributing to automation and infrastructure projects. You will serve as a Tier 3 technical resource across the organization, working closely with service, projects, security, compliance, and leadership teams. What You Will Own• Resolve advanced Tier 3 escalations across client systems, networks, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, backups, and applications• Perform root cause analysis and determine the right path to resolution through troubleshooting, research, vendor support, or engineering changes• Build Power Shell scripts and RMM automations for remediation, software deployment, vulnerability management, and new services• Troubleshoot advanced networking issues involving firewalls, switching, routing, wireless, VPNs, and security configurations• Support backup, disaster recovery, restores, recovery testing, and failed backup remediation• Assist with server deployments, virtualization, firewall replacements, network segmentation, VLANs, and infrastructure upgrades• Document troubleshooting, resolutions, and technical recommendations clearly for clients and internal teams What We Are Looking For• MSP experience supporting multiple client environments is required• Strong Tier 3 troubleshooting experience across systems, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, backups, and infrastructure• Advanced Microsoft administration across Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud environments• Strong networking and firewall experience, including Cisco and Sonic Wall technologies• Hands on virtualization experience with VMware and exposure to Citrix environments• Experience supporting cloud platforms, cybersecurity tools, backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure monitoring• Power Shell scripting or automation experience strongly preferred• Experience with Connect Wise or similar PSA, RMM, and MSP service delivery platforms• Ability to independently diagnose complex issues and drive them through resolution• Strong client communication, documentation, and technical leadership skills• Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, CompTIA, or similar certifications are a plus Benefits• $95,000 to $105,000 salary• Performance based incentives• Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance• 401(k) with 6% employer match• Connect Wise University and Pluralsight training• Ongoing professional development and technical training• Strong advancement opportunities within a growing MSP and cybersecurity organization
