Parts Counter Person
Location: Berlin, CT Company: Tasca Ford Berlin Job Type: Full-time
Tasca Ford Berlin is looking for a Parts Counter Person to join our team. In this role, you’ll help customers and technicians find the right parts while delivering a high level of service. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, knowledgeable about vehicles, and enjoy working in a busy dealership environment, we’d love to hear from you. What You’ll Do:
- Manage the parts sales process from start to finish
- Assist retail customers and service technicians with identifying and purchasing parts
- Help locate and source parts that are not currently in stock
- Process special orders and communicate order updates to customers
- Maintain accurate inventory and help stock and organize parts
- Provide knowledgeable, professional recommendations based on customer needs
- Communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and dealership staff
- Keep the parts counter and work area organized and professional
- Follow company safety policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous automotive parts or dealership experience preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in an automotive parts or service department preferred
- Knowledge of vehicles and automotive parts
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good computer, math, reading, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to learn and use new technology and systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to stay organized and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
