The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seekscandidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenureacademic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specificarea of palliative care and/or cancer rehabilitation. Applicantsmust have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Candidates should bring to thisposition expertise through special experiences or additionalfellowship training in palliative care or cancerrehabilitation. Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring ofPenn medical students and residents as well as alliedprofessionals. This position includes leadership responsibilitiesfor the cancer rehabilitation fellowship. Clinical responsibilities may include Clinical responsibilities mayinclude working closely with other surgical and non-surgical teamsto provide the highest level of interdisciplinary care to a widerange of patients in both inpatient and outpatient caresettings. Selected candidates must have excellent, well refined interpersonalskills and leadership abilities to effectively lead ourinterdisciplinary rehabilitation teams. Candidates should havestrong clinical training, enthusiasm, and a commitment tofurthering our clinical services and advancing our academicmissions. As an academic faculty member, the successful candidatewill have the opportunity to provide outstanding teaching andmentoring for Penn medical students and residents as well as alliedprofessionals.
