Restorative Care Specialist | Help Seniors Maintain Independence & Confidence
Do you have a heart for serving seniors and enjoy helping others remain active, capable, and independent? We are looking for a compassionate Restorative Care Specialistto provide individualized support that helps residents maintain their mobility, daily living skills, and overall quality of life. This is a hands‑on role where you'll build meaningful relationships with residents while encouraging them to do as much as possible for themselves. The starting rate is based on experience and qualifications. What You’ll Do:
Provide restorative care and individualized support to residents according to established care plans and restorative programs. Encourage residents to maintain or improve independence with activities of daily living. Assist residents with walking, mobility, transfers, positioning, range-of-motion activities, and other restorative exercises as directed. Provide assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other daily care needs. Encourage residents to participate actively in their own care and complete tasks independently whenever safely possible. Provide companionship and supportive interaction to residents, including those living with dementia or cognitive impairments. Observe residents for changes in mobility, strength, function, behavior, or overall condition and communicate concerns to the appropriate team member. Follow established safety procedures when assisting with mobility, transfers, and restorative activities. Document restorative care and resident participation accurately and timely as required. Maintain resident dignity, privacy, comfort, and personal choice throughout care. Work collaboratively with nursing, therapy, life enrichment, and other community team members. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. Follow community policies, procedures, infection-control practices, and applicable regulatory requirements. What Makes You Successful Previous caregiving, senior living, healthcare, rehabilitation, or related experience preferred. CNA certification preferred but not required unless required by state or community regulations. Experience working with seniors, dementia, or cognitive impairment is a plus. A genuine desire to help seniors maintain their independence and quality of life. Ability to follow individualized care plans and restorative instructions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, compassion, dependability, and a positive attitude. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative care team. Strong attention to resident safety and comfort. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. You Know You’re Successful When…
