Welder / Marine Fabrication Technician

Location: Decatur, IL (projects throughout Illinois & surrounding states)

Position: Welder - Marine Construction Type: Full-timeSchedule: Monday-FridayTeam Environment: Work alongside skilled welders, craftsmen, installers, and foremen Responsibilities Weld steel components for docks, boat lifts, and other marine structuresAssist in fabrication and assembly of custom dock sections, frames, and partsPerform SMAW (7018 rod) welding with precision and attention to qualityLoad, unload, and handle materials (lumber, aluminum, steel, hardware) Operate power tools, grinders, and job site equipment safelyFollow blueprints or supervisor instructions to complete welding tasksMaintain a clean and organized work areaSupport service and repair work as neededAlways follow safety protocols and foreman direction Requirements Reliable, everyday attendance is a mustValid driver's license requiredTravel is a must - job sites vary across the regionWelding experience required (aluminum and steel preferred) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to work near/over/in water and follow all safety proceduresConstruction or marine fabrication experience a plusWelding certifications preferred (but not required) Forklift certificationPositive attitude and attention to detail Why Work With Us?
