Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor for a privately held manufacturing and engineering firm that specializes in mobile electronic systems mobilization, ruggedized power and cooling equipment, and defense-related infrastructure, including SCIF and TEMPEST transportable shelters for clients like the U.S. Military, Boeing, and Lockheed located in Rancho Dominguez, CA.
Shift: 9/80 schedule
Monday through Thursday 6:30am to 4pm - Every other Friday 6:30am to 3pmPosition Summary: The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience overseeing daily production operations, managing employees, monitoring production schedules, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, and manage manufacturing personnel.
Coordinate daily production schedules, work orders, and employee assignments.
Monitor labor hours, productivity, efficiency, and production performance.
Ensure manufacturing processes meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Identify and resolve production delays, quality issues, and operational challenges.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Production teams.
Maintain accurate production documentation and work-order records.
Enforce workplace safety procedures and quality compliance requirements.
Implement process improvements to reduce waste, rework, and production costs.
Requirements:
5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing.2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of production scheduling, labor management, and manufacturing operations.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and technical instructions.
Experience working in quality-controlled manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with ISO standards, quality systems, and continuous improvement practices preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or additional certifications preferred.
Ability to work on the production floor and follow required safety procedures.
Ideal Candidate:
A hands-on manufacturing leader with experience supervising production teams, maintaining quality standards, controlling labor costs, and meeting production deadlines. Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
