About the role

Overview In this role you will lead regional marketing and pursuit strategy to grow Smith Group’s marketshare in the East Region. You will coach the pursuit team, manage workloads, and maintain quality across marketing assets and data. You will partner with studio and business leaders to craft compelling proposals, client engagements, and win strategies. You’ll drive growth through strategic tracking, market research, and collaboration with firm-wide leaders to elevate best practices and outcomes. Compensation / Benefitsflexible schedulinghybrid work environmentpaid time off (PTO)8 paid federal holidays 401(k) with employer matchingtuition reimbursement Responsibilities Coach and mentor the regional pursuit team and support professional development Manage regional pursuit workloads, resource allocation, and project priorities Oversee quality control for pursuit deliverables and maintain data/assets in core systems Partner with regional and firm-wide marketing leadership to share best practices and improve tools Develop pursuit, interview, and client engagement strategies with studio and business leaders Coach teams in proposal, presentation, and interview content Monitor pursuit performance metrics, win rates, and pipeline activity to inform decisions Lead or support lead tracking, opportunity research, competitive intelligence, and capture planning Identify market trends and strategic marketing initiatives to advance regional growth objectives Collaborate on annual marketing plans to expand regional market share Key requirements Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field Minimum 7 years of experience in the A/E/C industry Minimum 3–5 years of management experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office and InDesign Experience with CRM, digital asset management, and proposal automation systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or Open AssetCPSM certification preferred Strong mentoring ability and commitment to continuous learning Excellent time and project management, detail orientation, and ability to manage multiple assignments Creative and strategic thinking with strong technical, graphic, and presentation skillsmentoring and staff developmenttime managementattention to detail Microsoft Office InDesignCRM systems
