About the role
Our client is looking Full Stack Engineer to help design and build their cryptographic governance platform. You'll work directly with their Head of Engineering across their core platform and sensor microservices, helping federal and commercial customers find and fix cryptographic vulnerabilities ahead of NIST's post-quantum deadlines. This is an early, high-ownership role: you'll shape architecture, set engineering standards, and see your work land in production environments at regulated enterprises and defense organizations. It is a contract-to-hire position, where you will start as an independent contractor, with a possibility of being hired as an employee in the next 6-12 months. The offer rate for this position is $60-$70/hrWhat You’ll Build Back-end services and APIs for: • Cryptographic object discovery – keys, certificates, algorithms, and protocols across networks, endpoints, and codebases • Cryptographic inventorying – data normalization, de-duplication, and association into a unified inventory • Vulnerability assessment & prioritization – flagging legacy/deprecated algorithms and building frameworks that help customers prioritize remediation Front-end components for: • Data visualization – dashboard widgets summarizing findings across cryptographic inventories • Inventory exploration – searchable, filterable views for drilling into discovered cryptographic objects and their relationships • Reporting – exportable views that track remediation progress and post-quantum readiness for auditors and leadership CI/CD pipelines to: • Automate testing across services • Secure end-to-end deployment workflows
Required Experience:
- 5+ years building production software services
- Strong proficiency in Golang and Python; comfortable in TypeScript and Bash
- DevOps experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Database experience with PostgreSQL; familiarity with MongoDB and Redis
- Familiarity with React and Node, and with both Linux and Windows environments U.S. citizenship required!
