Location: Southwest Minnesota sites of New Ulm Medical Center, Springfield Clinic, Mankato Clinic and/or Blue Earth
Schedule Details: 1.0FTE (80 hours per two week pay period)8-hour day shift One weekend day/month required JobDescription:
  • Provides high quality cardiac ultrasound exams for cardiologist interpretation, resulting in accurate diagnosis and/or shorter length of stay without repeat scans. Principle Responsibilities
  • Performs routine and special cardiac procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines
  • Completes procedures with high degree of accuracy
  • Communicates with RN regarding patient status
  • Performs additional duties to complete process
  • Required
Qualifications: Associate's or Vocational degree from a diagnostic sonography program required, echocardiography preferred0 to 2 years Cardiac Sonography experience
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registry eligible upon hire required
  • Board certified within 6 months of hire; if working at St. Francis, must be able to obtain certification within 1 year of hire
  • Valid Driver's License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver's license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment if working in MHI Mobile Echo department
  • PhysicalDemands: Medium Work*: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently
  • PayRange: $41.28 to $57.11 per hour
