Overview
In this role you drive the design and delivery of medical training for Chewy Vet Care. You collaborate with medical, operations, and L&D teams to translate veterinary content into onboarding and ongoing education. You’ll help build a scalable medical training center of excellence to standardize expert training for new hires and career advancement. You will manage multiple content projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and improving clinical skills and customer experience. This is a cross-functional, impact-focused role in a collaborative, growth-minded environment.

Responsibilities Collaborate with medical and operations leaders to develop clinically relevant training for clinics Serve as medical content SME with Learning Architects and Instructional Designers to create accurate onboarding and continuous learning materials Organize and sequence content combining practical application with technical instruction Manage medical training programs from intake through execution Partner with Strategy and Analytics to define success criteria and measure skill transfer and program effectiveness Contribute to systems and training for roles such as Doctor, Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, Client Concierge, Practice Manager and Veterinary Care Representatives Apply adult learning principles to enhance medical skills and customer experience Participate in in-clinic training, mentoring, and content validation as needed Maintain content for compliance and accuracy on a regular cadence Drive project and deadline management to achieve business results
Key requirements Advanced degree or certification in Performance Technology, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or Teaching with 3–5 years of experience Proven experience in Instructional Design and performance consulting Ability to write application-level test questions and scenario-based assessments for global needs Stand-up training experience and ability to deliver Train the Trainer sessions Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication with cross-functional teams Experience with Learning Management Systems a plus Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Power Point, Excel)effective communicationcollaborationambiguity tolerance Instructional Designadult learning principlestraining program management
