About the role

PURPOSE:The Customer Service Trim Carpenter is responsible for completing service calls, warranty work, and punch list items related to doors and trim. This role involves diagnosing and repairing finish carpentry issues while providing a high level of customer service in occupied homes or buildings.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Perform service and warranty work on:
Interior doors (adjustments, alignment, hardware fixes) Baseboards, crown molding, and trim repairsDoor/window casings and finish detailsDiagnose and resolve issues such as: Doors not closing properlyGaps, cracks, or separation in trimNail pops, caulking failures, or minor damageComplete punch list items after construction is finishedCommunicate directly with homeowners, tenants, or clientsRepresent the company professionally in occupied spacesDocument completed work and report unresolved issuesMaintain service vehicle, tools, and materialsEnsure work is completed cleanly with minimal disruptionEquipment & ToolsStandard trim carpentry tools (miter saw, nail gun, etc.)Hand tools for adjustments and repairsCaulking tools, fillers, touch-up materialsBasic door hardware toolsKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or GED required3–6+ years in trim or finish carpentryExperience with door installation and adjustmentPrior service or punch work experience preferredValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to lift 50+ lbsAbility to work in occupied homes and maintain professionalismOwn tools (often required)
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong understanding of finish carpentry and door systemsKnowledge of common service issues and how to fix themBasic understanding of humidity/settling effects on trim and doorsCustomer service best practices
