Requirements:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in chemical engineering or chemistry
- Registration with the USPTOMinimum 2+ years of experience with patent prosecution, drafting patent applications, and due diligence
- Direct and applicable experience in a large or mid-sized law firm
Hybrid with some in-office expectations or remote (as appropriate). Some travel required.
Boston, MA, San Diego, CA, Palo Alto, CA, Seattle, WA, or Philadelphia, PA office.
Expected hiring range for this position is $120,000 - $225,000 per year depending on the candidate's geographic market location. The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate's experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. Draft patent applications
Investigate technical areas of the patent
Amend claims to expand the scope of an invention
Negotiate license agreements and other technology transfer agreements
Communicate with clients to gather information for patent filings
