Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a dedicated Family Lawyer in Sandy, UT. The role involves representing clients in various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and spousal support, while maintaining a limited caseload to ensure personalized service.
Duties:
Represent clients in family law cases, protecting their rights and interests.
Communicate promptly with clients to provide updates and advice.
Prepare and file legal documents with precision.
Attend court hearings and trials, advocating for clients.
Negotiate settlements with opposing attorneys.
Stay informed on family law developments.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of representing plaintiffs and defendants.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Member in good standing with the ABA.
1-2 years of experience in family law and real estate.
Experience in divorce, child custody, and spousal support cases.
Ability to manage a caseload of up to 30 clients.
Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications:
Active membership with the American Bar Association.
Skills Effective negotiation and advocacy in court settings.
Strong communication skills for client interactions.
Attention to detail in legal document preparation.
Collaborative work with paralegals and team members.
