Crate Assembler IThe Crate Assembler I will be responsible for assembling packaging crates and subassemblies used to ship product.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Assemble wooden crates using pneumatic nail guns, drills, and/or impact drivers
- Ensure crates being built are to the highest quality by adhering to established procedures and approved processes
- Work with the highest level of safety.
- Fulfill production orders on time to meet product delivery times
- Use of scanners and computers to communicate production order status
- Provide feedback for process improvement opportunities that would enhance safety, productivity, or efficiency.
- Maintain and improve area cleanliness to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Ability to flex into other work areas as needed
- Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- High attention to detail
- Prioritization skills
- Ability to use hand tools
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Essential Physical Functions:
- Be able to safely lift or move at least 50 lbs.
- Be able to safely climb stairs or ladder.
- Be able to work in cold or hot working conditions
- Must be able to Bend, Stoop, Squat, Kneel
- Equipment Used:
- The candidate may be required to use a variety of hand tools such as saws, drills, impact drivers, saws, pneumatic air guns, and tape measures.
