Substitute Nurse - 2026-2027 School Year

Application Requirements: 1) Online application2) Evidence of required college hours via an official transcript attached to online application or provided directly to Human Resources3) Evidence of a current Texas RN or LVN license4) Clear background check (conducted electronically at the time of application)5) Receipt of three professional references (requested electronically at the time of application)6) Either successful completion of TISD's fingerprinting procedure ($47 fee) or evidence of prior fingerprinting by the Texas Education Agency (other agency fingerprints may not be used, i.e. child care facilities, concealed handgun license, etc.)7) Successful completion of an Orientation session with the Director of Health Services8) Submission of completed New Substitute Paperwork, presentation of acceptable forms of ID for the I-9/Employment Eligibility Form, and benefits elections
