About the role

We are working with a luxury interiors company as they seek an entrepreneurial leader to guide and grow its North American business. This role combines commercial strategy, business development, team leadership and operational oversight across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. We are looking for someone who understands how to build demand in a premium, design-driven business, where relationships, product differentiation, service and reputation influence purchasing decisions. You should be equally comfortable developing a growth strategy, strengthening client relationships, coaching a sales team and improving how the business operates.
Key Responsibilities: Define and execute the commercial strategy for North America, driving profitable growth, market penetration and key account development. Lead, develop and empower Sales, Inside Sales and Customer Service teams. Manage and strengthen the agent and showroom network across North America. Build relationships with key clients, industry partners and the architecture and design (A&D) community. Oversee business performance, forecasting, budgets and key performance indicators. Serve as the primary liaison between the North American business and international headquarters. Communicate regional market needs and opportunities to Marketing, Design, Procurement, Finance and Operations. Improve organizational structures, processes and operational efficiency. Build a collaborative culture with clear accountability and a practical approach to solving problems.
Qualifications: A proven commercial track record in premium or luxury, design-driven businesses. Strong leadership experience, including developing teams and managing external sales partners across multiple markets. A strong understanding of the North American architecture and design market. The ability to connect commercial strategy with hands-on execution, client development and business performance. Sound business judgment and a strategic, process-oriented approach. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cultures and functions. The ability to work in-office in Manhattan and travel frequently throughout North America and internationally. Experience in textiles, interiors, furniture or related design industries is highly desirable. Familiarity with both residential and contract business is preferred.
