You will take true ownership of budgets and schedules, turning complex site plans into community landmarks where thousands gather on Friday nights. This role gives you a direct line to executive leadership, allowing you to shape operational systems while mastering the specialized art of sports facility agronomy and earthwork. How You Will Make an Impact:Manage overall project execution from estimating handoff through final closeout, ensuring all work matches strict design and performance standards. Own project budgets and financial forecasting to proactively identify cost variances and protect margin goals. Direct total subcontractor buyout and procurement of long-lead athletic materials to protect tight construction timelines. Build and maintain baseline schedules synchronized with Ohio weather patterns and strict academic athletic calendars. Partner with in-house design, survey, and field superintendents to maintain exact laser-grading tolerances and subgrade planarity. Lead transparent client communications with school boards, athletic directors, and municipal leaders from award through final inspection. Enforce strict site-safety programs across all jobsite operations with full authority to initiate stop-work actions when necessary. Required Qualifications & Experience:Minimum of 5 years managing site, civil, or sports facility construction projects with direct budget and schedule authority. Fluent in reading and interpreting civil site plans, grading and drainage details, and technical construction specifications. Solid background in sitework fundamentals, including earthwork, subgrade preparation, aggregate base, subsurface drainage, and utility installation. Demonstrated experience managing public procurement, prevailing wage requirements, change orders, and subcontractor contract administration. Proficiency using modern construction project management and scheduling software such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Procore. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Turfgrass Science, or equivalent field experience. Preferred Qualifications & Experience:Direct experience constructing or renovating natural grass and synthetic turf sports fields. Background working with school districts, universities, or municipal parks and recreation agencies. Active CSFM, CCM, CPC, or PMP professional certifications. Familiarity with Civil 3D, AutoCAD markup, and Topcon GPS machine-control workflows. Experience delivering projects under Design-Build or CM-at-Risk contract structures. Compensation & Benefits:Competitive base salary of $105,000 to $122,000 based on experience. Defined 8% to 15% target annual performance bonus tied to clear project metrics.
