Job Description
Position Overview: Actalent is seeking a Cable Harness Assembly Technician to support a current product development effort in the design and prototyping phase. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with cable assembly experience who can build wire harnesses, follow assembly documentation, and support engineering teams as products move from design into production. This is a junior to mid-level position. We are not seeking a highly tenured specialist; rather, someone with a solid foundation in cable and harness assembly who can contribute to an active development program.
Responsibilities: Build and assemble wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical subassemblies. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, and work instructions. Perform cable cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, terminating, and connector installation. Support prototype and low-volume production builds. Inspect completed assemblies for quality and workmanship. Work closely with engineering teams to provide feedback during the design and development process. Maintain accurate assembly and quality documentation. Follow IPC standards and company quality procedures. Ideal Candidate: Someone with 1-5 years of experience building wire harnesses and cable assemblies, IPC certified, comfortable working in a hands-on development environment, and eager to support a program currently moving through the design phase toward production. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $80.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
