Assistant Restaurant Manager

Zaxby’s is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations in our fast-casual restaurant. You’ll support the General Manager with opening and closing, shift leadership, and ensuring every guest receives friendly, efficient service. Responsibilities include supervising team members, maintaining food quality and safety standards, managing cash and POS procedures, and assisting with scheduling, training, and inventory. You’ll model Southern hospitality, resolve guest concerns, and help create a positive, growth-focused environment for the team. Assist General Manager with daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures Lead shifts to ensure excellent guest service, speed, and accuracy Supervise, coach, and support team members on the floor Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards Handle cash management, POS operations, and basic reporting Assist with scheduling, training, and onboarding of new team members Monitor inventory levels and support ordering and stock rotation Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and Southern hospitality Promote a positive, team-oriented, and safety-focused work environment Support achievement of sales, labor, and cost control targets Restaurant operations Shift scheduling Cash handling & POS systems Food safety & sanitation Team leadership & coaching Customer service Inventory management Conflict resolution Time management Basic reporting & documentation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Food Handler Certification (where required) ServSafe Manager Certification (preferred) First Aid/CPR Certification (a plus)
