Ironside is a fitness equipment company founded in 2020 that designs, imports and sells solutions for commercial gyms, boutique studios and home users under its own brand, manufactured across more than 25 factories around the world. The company operates in Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Canadá and is currently expanding into Brazil and the United States.2. Role Purpose
Lead Ironside's entry, build-out and scale-up in the United States, with full P&L ownership for the country. The Country Manager will be Ironside's first executive in the market, tasked with turning the United States into the company's largest market by revenue and the platform supporting its global valuation thesis. This is a founder-level role within a high-growth company: it requires building the commercial, logistics, regulatory and team infrastructure from the ground up, executing with speed and financial discipline.3. Full-time, permanent4. Key Responsibilities
4.1 Strategy and P&LDesign and execute the go-to-market plan and 3-year business plan for the United States. Own the country P&L: revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA and working capital. Build and present the annual budget and monthly forecast to the Co-CEOs and Finance. Prioritize states, segments and channels based on market potential and return. Identify inorganic growth opportunities (distributor acquisitions, strategic partnerships, master accounts).4.2 B2B Business Development Build the customer pipeline across commercial gyms, chains and franchises, boutique studios, CrossFit/functional/Hybrid training, hotels, universities, schools, corporate facilities, multifamily residential and government entities. Close anchor accounts and multi-state contracts with chains and franchises. Develop a network of distributors, dealers and independent reps where more efficient than direct sales. Lead bids and institutional procurement processes. Implement sales methodology, CRM and forecasting discipline aligned with group standards.4.3 Digital Channels and E-commerce (B2C and B2B) Lead the launch and growth of Ironside's U.S. e-commerce store. Evaluate and execute entry into relevant marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot and others in the category).Partner with Marketing on digital acquisition strategy, CAC, ROAS and conversion. Define channel pricing policies and enforce price consistency (MAP) across channels.4.4 Marketing and Brand Positioning Define, together with the CMO, the positioning of Ironside and its sub-brands against local competitors. Execute the field marketing plan: trade shows (Health & Fitness Association Show, Athletic Business, among others), showrooms, events and activations. Build partnerships with athletes, coaches, influencers and local fitness communities. Adapt messaging, materials and content to the U.S. market.4.5 Operations, Supply Chain and Logistics Design the country's logistics model: ports of entry, warehousing, 3PL, e-commerce fulfillment and last-mile delivery. Coordinate with Supply Chain on demand planning, purchasing from factories and inventory levels. Manage relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders and logistics providers. Ensure service levels (OTIF, lead times), installation and after-sales service.4.6 Regulatory, Legal and Compliance Ensure compliance with customs regulations (CBP), tariff classification and country-of-origin rules. Coordinate applicable product certifications and standards. Manage, with legal counsel, commercial contracts, warranties, product liability and insurance. Ensure federal and state tax compliance (sales tax, nexus) together with Finance and external advisors.4.7 Product Provide market input to the Product team: voltage, imperial units, safety standards, packaging and design preferences. Propose the initial product portfolio and its evolution based on local demand and profitability. Participate in developing products tailored to the U.S. market.4.8 Team and Organization Design the country's organizational structure and hire the initial team (sales, operations, customer success, e-commerce).Define performance‑based variable compensation schemes. Implement the group's culture, OKRs and performance management processes. Manage key external providers: legal counsel, accountants, agencies, 3PLs and consultants.4.9 Customer Success and After‑Sales Implement a nationwide service model for technical support, installation, warranties and spare parts (in‑house or outsourced).Ensure satisfaction and retention of key accounts (NPS, repeat purchase, account expansion).4.10 Reporting and Governance Report monthly to the Co-CEOs on results, pipeline, KPIs and risks. Participate in group leadership committees and global strategic planning. Support capital raising and due diligence processes related to U.S. operations.5. Objectives
First 90 days Go-to-market plan and 12-month budget approved. Logistics and import model defined, with 3PL and customs broker contracted. Initial product portfolio defined and regulatory compliance validated. First anchor accounts in active negotiation and a qualified pipeline in place. U.S. e-commerce live or with a committed launch date. First 12 months Achievement of the budgeted sales and margin targets. Recurring account base, including at least one multi‑state chain or franchise. Initial team hired and operating. Active presence on priority marketplaces. Positive unit economics by channel. The United States as one of the group's leading markets by revenue. A profitable, scalable operation with a structure replicable nationwide.6. Requirements
Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field. Experience5–6+ years of experience, including at least 3 years in leadership roles with P&L responsibility. Proven experience in the fitness industry, sporting goods, durable goods or B2B distribution in the United States. Track record of building or scaling an operation from an early stage (startup, market entry or new business unit).Network within U.S. gym chains, franchises, distributors or institutional buyers. Experience importing from Asia, managing international logistics and tariffs. E-commerce and marketplace experience (Amazon preferred).Languages Native or bilingual English. Intermediate or native Spanish (required for coordination with the regional team).Legal and Location Current authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. Based in, or preferred in: Houston or Austin, Texas. Availability to travel within the U.S. (approx. 40%) and occasionally to Latin America and Asia.8.
