Operating Room First Assistant - Cardiac Experience Required This is a 13-week contract position.4x10 Hour Shifts (06:45 - 17:15) with on-call duties. An alternate schedule of 3x12s (06:45 - 19:15) is also available. The Operating Room First Assistant plays a crucial role in cardiac procedures, providing assistance to the surgical team. This position requires extensive experience and proficiency in vein and radial artery harvesting, as well as a commitment to patient care in a dynamic surgical environment. Assist in surgical procedures, specifically in cardiac and thoracic cases. Perform vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting with precision. Be available for on-call shifts as scheduled. Contribute to a team approach in the operating room. Maintain high standards of sterile technique and patient safety.3-5 years of experience as a First Assistant in surgical procedures, specifically in cardiac surgery. Current certifications: NBSTSA, NCCSA, or ABSA.Preferred experience with robotic-assisted surgeries. Active West Virginia license or pending application accepted.
