Description: American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a 13-week Magnet acute care hospital assignment requiring independent scrub/circulator skills and 2 years of CVOR experience. Details Assignment in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), primarily supporting Open Heart Surgery4x10 hour day shifts, 0645-1715, with times adjusted to accommodate the OR Open-Heart schedule Call required on weeknights (end of shift to 0630) and weekends (0630-0630 Saturday/Sunday), self-scheduled within a small Open-Heart team No weekend or holiday shifts required outside of call coverage Float within service line and scope required, including between campuses as needed May be assigned to alternative service lines including Urology/GYN/Dental/Robotic/Plastics/ENT, General/Vascular/Thoracic/Pulmonary, or Orthopedic/Pain/PodiatryEPIC charting system used
Requirements:
  • Active IL RN license requiredBLS required; ACLS preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
  • Ability to independently scrub and circulate for Cardiac/Open Heart procedures required
  • Experience in endovascular/hybrid, neuro-spine, ENT, ortho, or robotic specialties is a plus
  • General OR and/or Hybrid OR experience preferredEPIC charting experience required
  • Scrub skills required
Additional Information:
  • Function in both scrub and circulator roles for cardiovascular and related surgical procedures
  • Hospital-issued royal blue OR scrubs required
  • Must comply with facial hair policy to allow for proper respirator fit testing
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed within the 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week
  • Returning permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any facility within the health system as a traveler
  • Standard travelers may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
