Certified Orthotist

Responsibilities: Evaluate, assess, and treat patients requiring prosthetic and/or orthotic devices Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom prostheses and orthoses to meet individual patient needs Develop and document comprehensive patient care plans in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care Provide patient education and training on the proper use and maintenance of devices Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with ABC/BOC and insurance requirements Stay current with advancements in prosthetic and orthotic technology, materials, and techniques Requirements: Current ABC or BOC Certification as a Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) required Master's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics or related field preferred Valid state licensure in New Jersey or ability to obtain prior to start date Experience in fitting and fabricating both upper and lower limb prostheses and orthoses Strong knowledge of L-code billing and insurance documentation processes Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a clinical team About Us: Pro Fit Prosthetics and Orthotics is a trusted provider of high-quality prosthetic and orthotic solutions serving the West Berlin, NJ community and surrounding areas.
