Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI / Onsite

Salary: $80k - $85k annually (The pay range may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Job Description: Lead supplier quality activities for new product development and launch programs. Manage APQP and PPAP processes to ensure supplier readiness and compliance. Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and suppliers on feasibility reviews, quality planning, and component approvals. Monitor supplier performance, project milestones, and quality deliverables to meet launch timing requirements. Conduct supplier audits, production trials, Run-at-Rate events, and process assessments. Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and resolution of supplier quality issues through 8D methodology. Ensure compliance with quality standards, supplier requirements, and documentation processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives, supplier development, and lessons learned implementation. Act as the primary quality contact for suppliers throughout the product lifecycle. Travel to supplier locations as needed to support project and quality activities. What is required Bachelor's degree in Engineering required 3-5 years of automotive industry and/or engineering experience.
