Job Description: Home Care Aide
Job Summary:
Right at Home Scranton is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides in the Wilkes-Barre area to join our team! As a Home Care Aide, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and adults with disabilities by providing personal care and companionship services in their homes. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication reminders
- Provide companionship and social support to clients, engaging in activities such as reading, music, and puzzles
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Accompany clients on errands and medical appointments
- Perform other personal care activities as needed to assist clients with daily living tasks
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
- Ability to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
- Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
- Pass a background checkCNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
