Orthopedics Surgeon (Trauma)

Position Overview: Wellstar Health Systems is seeking a highly skilled and compassionateOrthopedic Trauma Surgeonto join our team at the new Columbia County hospital. This is a pivotal role in shaping a cutting-edge trauma service within a modern facility equipped with the latest technology.

Key Responsibilities: Provide expert orthopedic trauma care, including surgical interventions and post-operative management. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including emergency medicine, critical care, and rehabilitation specialists. Participate in trauma call coverage and support the hospital’s commitment to excellent trauma services. Engage in continuous quality improvement and clinical research initiatives as applicable. Mentor and train residents and medical students (if affiliated).

Qualifications: MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency. Fellowship training in orthopedic trauma preferred. Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery. Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
