About the role

Psychology Peer Advisors - Fall 2026 Psychology Department at SUNY Cortland is seeking Peer Advisors to support undergraduate students with advising-related questions in the department's peer advising initiative. Provides assistance with standard schedule questions, registration processes, technology, and class and curriculum requirements. Holds peer advising hours for students. Supports the coordination and administration of the Peer Advisor initiative. Days/Hours Needed - 1-2 hours per week Campus Location/Bldg. - Old Main in person
Required Qualifications: Must be a SUNY Cortland student able to work independently, responsibly, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications: Psychology major (Senior or Junior) Experience as a TA, OA or RA preferred Experience with peer mentoring or advising Strong academic standing Contact Name(s) & Email(s) - Please contact the Department Chair, Dr. Irene Strasser, by e-mail if you have any questions.
