ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist guests with questions and purchases, while using proper cash-handling, credit card, Passport Club Points and Island Comps proceduresAccount for the overall accuracy of sales paperwork, including deposits, variances, and inventory system errorsOrder, receive, organize and manage merchandise and complete inventoriesRotate stock to ensure product quality and freshnessCommunicate with warehouse staff and vendors regarding shipmentsComplete sales according to tobacco and alcohol policiesOpen and/or close retail store as applicable following department security and key standardsKNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge and CertificationRequired: Previous cash register experiencePrevious customer service experiencePreferred: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experienceSkillsRequired: Accurate and detail-orientedHighly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesExcellent verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbove average math skillsAbilitiesRequired: Ability to work fast and efficientlyAbility to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygieneAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to serve both internal and external customersAbility to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voiceAbility to complete multiple tasks in a professional mannerAbility to enthusiastically and professionally sell / upsell gift shop items and property amenities.
