Choate USA is seeking a Commercial Landscape & Irrigation Estimator (DIRECT HIRE) to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in securing new work by preparing accurate, competitive bids for commercial landscape and irrigation construction projects.This is an in-person position where you will work closely with our estimating, operations, and project management teams to analyze project documents, develop detailed cost estimates, and prepare complete bid proposals. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple deadlines.ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bid proposals for commercial landscape and irrigation construction projectsReview plans, specifications, addenda, and contract documents to determine project scope and requirementsPerform quantity takeoffs for landscape, irrigation, drainage, site furnishings, and related scopes of workSolicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricingIdentify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and scope clarificationsCoordinate with operations and project management teams to develop accurate production budgetsAttend pre-bid meetings and perform site visits as requiredMaintain estimating files, bid documentation, and historical cost dataAssist with project handoff following contract awardRequirementsAbility to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documentsStrong analytical, organizational, and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OfficeExperience with PlanSwift or similar takeoff software is preferredCollege degree preferred, but not requiredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary of 65k -85k based on experienceOpportunity for advancement and professional growthMedical, dental, and vision insurance following the initial probationary periodPaid personal/sick time and company holidaysAdditional benefits availableWhy Choate USA?Choate USA is an aggressive, hands-on, fast-growing company built on hard work, accountability, and delivering exceptional results.
