About the role

Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesEquipment Ownership & ReliabilityServe as the technical owner for assigned semiconductor manufacturing equipment throughout its operational lifecycle. Support both legacy (analog) manufacturing equipment and next-generation semiconductor manufacturing platforms. Improve equipment reliability, availability, maintainability, and manufacturing readiness. Lead troubleshooting of complex electrical, mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, motion control, automation, and process-related equipment issues. Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions. Minimize equipment downtime while improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Develop long-term equipment strategies supporting manufacturing objectives. Manufacturing Support & Continuous ImprovementSupport daily manufacturing operations by resolving equipment-related technical issues. Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reliability, productivity, safety, and maintainability. Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. Evaluate equipment modifications that improve manufacturing capability and reduce operating costs. Develop engineering standards and best practices. Capture and implement lessons learned. Capital Equipment SupportProvide technical support for new equipment installations, equipment relocations, and major equipment upgrades. Review OEM equipment specifications and facility requirements. Support equipment commissioning and production readiness activities. Participate in factory expansion initiatives and strategic capital projects. Provide technical leadership during equipment acceptance and startup activities as required. Technical LeadershipServe as the primary technical resource for assigned equipment platforms. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Equipment Technicians. Coordinate technical activities with OEM suppliers, contractors, Facilities Engineering, and Manufacturing. Participate in design reviews, equipment evaluations, and constructability reviews. Develop and maintain engineering standards supporting equipment lifecycle management. Documentation & Lifecycle ManagementMaintain equipment specifications, engineering documentation, and configuration records. Develop and improve preventive maintenance documentation. Support spare parts strategies and equipment obsolescence planning. Review engineering changes for technical accuracy. Ensure documentation accurately reflects installed equipment configurations.
Education & Experience: EducationRequired (One of the Following) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, or a related technical discipline. Military technical training with demonstrated experience supporting complex industrial, electrical, electronic, mechanical, or automated systems combined with a bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline. Equivalent combination of technical education and directly related semiconductor equipment experience. PreferredAdvanced technical education, professional certifications, or formal training related to equipment reliability, automation, controls, or project execution. Demonstrated training or experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and highly automated manufacturing environments. ExperienceSeven+ (7) years supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment or other highly automated manufacturing systems. Experience supporting legacy (analog) manufacturing equipment and/or advanced semiconductor manufacturing platforms. Demonstrated success troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment. Experience improving equipment reliability and manufacturing performance. Experience working directly with OEM suppliers. Experience capturing new technology implementation and equipment integration preferred. Capital equipment project experience preferred. Ability to prioritize multiple technical issues in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Demonstrated technical leadership without direct authority. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Working Conditions: Semiconductor manufacturing and cleanroom environment. Manufacturing support and equipment installation areas. Active construction and capital project environments as required. Occasional support during off-shift activities.
