Are you an experienced Smile CDR Administrator/Platform Engineer with a desire to excel? If so, then Talent Software Services may have the job for you! Our client is seeking an experienced Smile CDR Administrator/Platform Engineer for a contract position to work at their company 100% remotely.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Smile CDR Administrator to provide platform administration, configuration, support, and operational leadership for our enterprise interoperability platform. This role will be responsible for configuring and administering Smile CDR, supporting FHIR APIs, troubleshooting platform issues, managing environments, and ensuring compliance with CMS and interoperability mandates. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of Smile CDR architecture, FHIR standards, REST APIs, security, and healthcare interoperability solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and configure Smile CDR environments across Development, Test, and Production.
Manage Smile CDR modules, partitions, repositories, channels, security, and API configurations.
Support FHIR R4 repositories, SMART on FHIR, and interoperability implementations.
Monitor platform health, performance, availability, and capacity.
Troubleshoot platform, API, and data ingestion issues.
Configure and support REST APIs and integration endpoints.
Partner with architecture, engineering, and business teams on interoperability initiatives.
Support CMS, ONC, Prior Authorization, Patient Access, Provider Access, Payer-to-Payer, and BCBSA Interoperability programs.
Implement security controls, access management, audit logging, and compliance requirements.
Create operational runbooks, deployment procedures, and platform standards.
Coordinate vendor support activities when required and drive internal ownership of the platform.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of healthcare interoperability experience.3+ years administering or supporting Smile CDR.Strong knowledge of:
- HL7 FHIR (R4)REST APIsSMART on FHIROAuth 2.0JSON/XMLHealthcare data exchange
- Experience supporting production healthcare platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting API integrations and platform performance issues.
- Strong SQL and database fundamentals.
- Experience with Linux and scripting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CMS Interoperability Mandates.
- Experience with Axway API Gateway.
- Knowledge of Apache Camel.
- Experience with cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of healthcare payer systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Gitlab pipelines.
